Hi, my name is David Moreau. I am a sound engineer based in Ottawa, Canada. I grew up in France and moved to Canada ten years ago, that’s when I started to work in the TV business.

My expertise of work includes: post audio, location sound, music, live broadcast and live events.

I find that in today’s videos, you always see audio levels jumping up and down, resulting in always having to adjust your speaker volume between dialogue and music.

As a mixer, my job is to deliver your message and story the best way possible. You have to nail the dialogue, the narration. Then, you focus on the background, the music and the sound effects. It's all about balance.

You wouldn't run an ad without a little Photoshop work, right? Let's all agree audio also need some work to make it shine. Be nice with your sound, your viewers will thank you for it.
